Android error “Could not get BatchedBridge, make sure your bundle is packaged properly” on start of app

After creating a project and not changing a single file, I tried to test it on my Galaxy S5  device. I got this red screen right on start of the app and after dismissing it, only white screen was shown instead of welcome message that was supposed to be there.

Do this

  • Open your app with the red screen and then shake it to load the  in-app menu
  • Click Dev Settings in the bottom
  • Click Debug server host and port for device under debugging section and enter your computer local IP and the ports correctly. (
  • Enable Live reloading / Live hot reloading.

If not do this

         adb reverse tcp:8081 tcp:8081

You may have to go inside to platform-tools folder.

eg (PATH="%PATH%;C:\Users\Admin\AppData\Local\Android\sdk\platform-tools" )

If any of the above didn't work try the following

rm -rf node_modules && npm install

(Delete the node module folder and run the npm again)
